Статья посвящена семантическому описанию лексики в якутском языке, относящейся к основным понятиям религии Аар Айыы. Сравнительно-сопоставительный анализ показал возможность восстановления семантических связей устаревших слов. Для сравнения привлечен материал наиболее близких контактных языков - тюркских, монгольских и тунгусо-маньчжурских. Из примеров следует, что лексические единицы айыы и кут имеют общеалтайское происхождение. Преобладающее большинство слов данной сферы имеет параллели в древнетюркском языке и частично в монгольских и эвенкийском языках.
Turning to the origins of the vocabulary denoting the basic concepts of the Aar Aiyy religion will allow us to determine the original meaning of words, reveal the roots of spiritual culture and establish its most ancient contacts. The words in this category are obsolete, so the dictionary definitions of some words are vague and insufficiently defined. The aim of this article is to study the historical development and origin of words expressing the basic concepts of the Aar Aiyy religion. Tasks: to identify the relationship between languages and restore lost meanings; to identify factual data in the etymology of words; to apply the method of interpreting linguistic facts to explain their meaning. The comparative historical analysis method with elements of etymological analysis and internal reconstruction were used in this work. Analysis has shown the possibility of restoring the semantic connections of archaic words. It follows from the examples that the lexical units aiyy and kut have a common Altaic origin. Most words of this sphere have parallels in the ancient Turkic language and partly in the Mongolian languages.
