The analysis of the clinical and endoscopic picture of peptic ulcer disease (UD) in patients in the studied ethnic groups in the Far North conditions was carried out. Duodenal ulcer was detected in both ethnic groups, more often in men. In the indigenous population UD was detected mainly in the middle working age, more often with the localization of an ulcer in the stomach. In patients with a long ulcer history, the degree of HP contamination in the mucous membrane is reduced. At the same time, weak contamination is more frequent in the group of patients from the indigenous population than in non-indigenous one

Though in the recent decades the modern methods in the field of pathogenesis, clinic and treatment of chronic heart failure have advanced much, this nosology is one of the most common, severe and prognostically unfavorable complications of cardiovascular diseases. The main causes of heart failure are ischemic heart disease and arterial hypertension or a combination of these diseases. The prevalence of chronic heart failure increases significantly with age: the age group of 20 to 29 years accounts for only 0.3 % of cases, whereas in the age group over 90 years we see almost 70 % of the respondents. The cost of treatment for chronic heart failure in developed countries makes up to 2 % of the total medical budget. The bulk of the cost of treatment for patients falls on hospitalization due to progression and decompensation; the need in hospitalizations can reach up to 80 % per year. A retrospective analysis of patient records of the Cardiology Department, Yakutsk City Clinical Hospital, for 2016 was conducted. The causes and clinical manifestations of chronic heart failure in young patients are analyzed. The etiology was dominated by non-coronary heart disease, mainly chronic rheumatic heart disease and dilated cardiomyopathy. In the majority, chronic heart failure was in the second stage, functional class III according to the NYHA classification. Chronic heart failure is a serious complication affecting not only the cardiovascular system, but also the respiratory and digestive system, which significantly complicates the treatment and prognosis

Teaching of Internal Diseases in medical schools begins in departments of propaedeutic therapy. The Propedeutics of Internal Diseases course covers semiotics and diagnosis of diseases, where students master the logics of constructing diagnosis. Learning basic therapeutic diseases illustrates the significance of symptoms, when analyzing an individual patient’s medical history students acquire the methods of diagnostics. From the first days of work in the clinic, students must master the basics of medical ethics that is included in the objectives of the Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases course. Though the teaching method remains classical in principle, it is constantly improving and changing with the introduction of new learning technologies. Such an approach is necessary regarding the scientific and technical process and the ability of specialists to acquire new knowledge continuously. The training staff organizes classes not only to transmit information to students, but rather to stimulate their cognitive activity, which means the search for new and improved forms of traditional teaching, optimization and intensification of the educational process, increase in the scope and level of organization of independent work of students under the lecturers’ supervision. The main problem is implementing the provisions of the point-rating system of evaluating students’ activities in the medical school. The article lists the tasks and stages of introducing the point-rating system, control weeks and the model of calculating rankings for the discipline. The Guidelines on the point-rating system on North-Eastern Federal University define the procedure of evaluating students’knowledge and are used for the purpose of student-centered learning, promoting the systematic work of students, revealing of their creative abilities, differentiation of knowledge evaluation in the higher education system. The point-rating system of knowledge evaluation is designed to improve the objectivity and reliability of students’ level of training, and the evaluation is used as part of the educational process management at the university. The main objectives of the point-rating system are: -to support the motivation of active and uniform work of students during semester; - to ensure a conscious self-organization their learning activities by students; -to enhance the efficiency of regular independent educational work of students during semester; - to strengthen the control over the systematic work of students during the development of the program through higher differentiation of evaluating results of their learning activities, -to improve the discipline of students and the responsibility for the results of their learning activities; - to get an objective evaluation of student’s academic performance and mastery of the competence of the discipline and the curriculum

In the process of teaching students the curse on propaedeutics of internal diseases and for the control of knowledge, there are various methods applied - problem studies and test control. Propaedeutic therapy involves the study of methods of examining the patient in the clinic of internal diseases and primary assimilation of the clinical thinking elements. Logically holistic structures of tasks aimed at creating methods of thinking open the real potential of developing general and special mechanisms of mental activity in students: synthesis, analysis, and abstraction. A problem-solving exercise involves creating a problematic situation when a student can not complete the task by the ways known to him and must find a new way of acting. Accordingly, the problematic activity helps to build skills for diagnostic search, using the “from simple to complex” method. The pedagogical control, based on the feedback principle, is understood as timely and constant adjustments of mental activities of students, with confirmation of the correct answer and correction of errors serving as further training motivation. Test control, as a modification of the pedagogical control, is an easy-to-implement and effective option used as a feedback between the lecturer and the student. Test control assists in solving two main problems in managing the optimization of training: firstly, the time spent by lecturers and students and, secondly, the achieved educational outcome. In accordance with the integrative approach, test tasks are not the result of mechanical interaction, but of complex interaction of individual images properties. A systematic, orderly, focused test of knowledge control provides effective learning of a large amount of new information by students, develops the ability to exercise self-control and self-evaluation, meets the important objective - to use every minute of the student and faculty time fully and effectively
